Mike Haer, Founder & Editor In Chief
Mike Haer grew up with a love of history, especially his local history. In his late teens he turned to metal detecting to follow his passion of going out and pulling history from the ground. Mike has enjoyed just about every aspect of the hobby but his real passion is relic hunting the farm fields of Ohio.
Several years ago, out of passion for the hobby started submitting articles to a few metal detecting publications and before long was regularly having his articles published and before writing for his own blog had over 40 articles published in the various metal detecting magazines.
Being a dealer for several years Mike found great joy in helping people both new and old to the hobby. He also found another passion within the hobby. Out of necessity to make sure he at least had an understanding of what metal detectors his customers wanted Mike started a journey to learn as much about metal detectors as he could and use as many as he could get his hands on. To date Mike is not sure how many metal detectors he has actually used but it is 50 plus.
These days Mike is the editor of Dirt Digest Magazine, founder and Editor In Chief of All Metal Mode and Host of the All Metal Mode Podcast.
