Peter Schichtel and Joe Jorgensen were back on Monday night’s podcast for the third time. Each time these guys are on, our dedicated listeners in the chat room always want them back again and for good reason. These guys have so much going for them. They both tell great stories, have years of experience in the hobby, tons of passion and they’ve experienced so much! Bob and I both really enjoy having these two on the show and they will be back again!
The first time on the show we touched on everything and they told one great story after another. The second time was all about the snake pit and what a blast that was. Monday night was a little different, something I have very little experience in and was excited about. Joe and Peter discussed cache hunting inside houses.
These guys can really tell a good story and they shared with us several houses they’ve had the opportunity to search in as well as furniture and even vehicles! They also shared some of their finds and talked to us about equipment and techniques they used. It was another great show and I can say not only did I learn something it got me excited at the opportunity to try it for myself.
They also talked about a production company contacting them about possibly doing a show and they came out and recorded them finding a cache in a house. Although it hasn’t been picked up yet by a network there is still a chance. If I remember correctly before the first show Peter explained to me how one particular network loved it but it was shot down by just one board member!
Jocelyn Elizabeth called in as she usually does when Joe and Peter are on. They are all good friends and support each other. It’s great to hear them all interact and share stories of their time together enjoying the hobby. I took us off subject discussing some of the recent and ongoing drama that seems to plague Jocelyn and anyone for that fact who has worked hard and made something of themselves.
As always it was great to have Joe and Peter on the show as they share their wonderful stories and knowledge with us. Look for a fourth show with these guys as we’ve already decided to do another where they will discuss finding Indian artifacts and give us pointers of how they do it and what kind of sites they look for.
Below is links to our previous shows with these two and the video the production company did. If you haven’t listened to these two you’re missing out!
