I went park hunting with the Tesoro Outlaw for the first time yesterday morning. Although I didn’t find much it was a great learning experience! I didn’t know what to think, being used to VDI metal detectors with depth gauge and multi-tones, I was concerned it would be to far out of my norm. Within minutes of metal detecting though I quickly learned that by turning the discrimination knob I had a general idea of what I might be digging. I even called a copper penny before I dug it! The next thing I noticed is how quickly I could get an idea of depth by how loud the tone was. In just a quick, two hour hunt I felt comfortable with it and I am looking forward to getting more hours on it and learning it better. I can only imagine after 10, 20, 50 hours of detecting how comfortable I will be with it and me and the machine will be one!
Two things I have always hated (like so many people) is hearing my voice or seeing myself in pictures or videos. Sometimes I would ask myself “why in the world are we doing a podcast” I don’t even listen to the shows to edit them, I can’t stand my voice that much! Now, Bob and I have decided to start doing some Youtube videos! Unfortunately those have to be edited and I have to SEE and HEAR myself and I hate it! Why have we decided to do videos you ask? Simple, we are both passionate about this hobby and we want to share information and hunts! Before I got the Tesoro Outlaw I went through so many videos on the Outlaw and other models of Tesoros and although their was some good air testing videos and a few random videos I found appealing. My first video there is no air testing, its just me showing you a few targets and my initial response of park hunting with the Tesoro Outlaw Metal Detector. So here it is, my first video ! I hope you like it and enjoy!
